As one of Williams' best-known pieces, and a personal favourite of the playwright, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof became a global phenomenon after it's premiere at New York's Morosco Theatre in 1955.

Last year The Mousetrap celebrated its 60th anniversary and marked its 25,000th performance with a star-studded one off performance featuring Hugh Bonneville, Patrick Stewart, Julie Walters and Miranda Hart.

The Gruffalo at the Lyric Theatre – Opening Night!
Tonight is the opening night of the beloved story The Gruffalo at London’s Lyric Theatre.
Written by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the story has been adapted for the stage by Kenny Wax & Nick Brooke of KW & NB Ltd who are well established in bringing children’s theatre to the West End and UK tours.

Jesus Christ Superstar opens on Broadway.
Jesus Christ Superstar was the first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, that became a professional production.
The Broadway production ran for 720 performances, closing two years later after grossing over £2.8 million at the box office, and Andrew Lloyd Webber won the prestigious Drama Desk Award as Most Promising Composer for Jesus Christ Superstar in 1972.
Less than 12 months after the Broadway show opened, the rock spectacle came to London, exploding onto the West End in August 1972, starring Paul Nicholas singing the part of Jesus.
