On This Day (December 24th) - Christmas Eve

Christmas traditions really make this festive time of year extra special, and there's really no other night quite as magical as Christmas Eve.

Take this day to enjoy your own traditions or make some new ones with these exciting ideas...

Track Santa

Track Santa's progress throughout the day and night on Norad, www.noradsanta.org - build up the children's anticipation and watch him make his way around the world, on his way to your house to deliver their presents!

New Pyjama Party

Unwrap your new snuggly christmas pj's and slippers, making getting ready for bed even more exciting.

Get cosy and warm on the sofa and cuddle up with a Christmas film.

Movie Day

Keeping children distracted from all the presents under the tree isn't an easy job, neither is getting them to sleep on Christmas Eve.

Why not head down to your local cinema and catch the latest Christmas film? This year you can catch Disney's Frozen in 3D.

If the weather isn't great or you want to save pennies, get those new pj's on extra early and get your Christmas DVDs out or check out the TV guide - it's bound to be packed full of family favourites!

Festive Food

The films have been chosen, the pyjamas are ready to be put on, now all you need is some yummy snacks to enjoy.

Get the whole family involved and create a special Christmas Eve menu. Bake some cookies, make and decorate gingerbread houses, homemade pizzas, anything you like.

Put on some christmas music and help make even the washing up fun.

Just The One...

Open one present from under the tree!

Make sure it's something that they can use throughout the evening or make it just one present for all, like a new film, a puzzle or a game that the whole family can enjoy together!

Whether you already have your traditions or are looking forward to making some new ones, have a wonderful Christmas from all here at Calendar Club.
