Pink releases her debut album 'Can't Take Me Home'

It may age a few of us out there to think it was fourteen years ago that recording artist Pink (Alicia Moore) released her debut album 'Can't Take Me Home'. With a mix of producers including Kevin Briggs and Babyface, the album peaked in Australia at #10, reaching #10 in the UK and #26 on the U.S Billboard 200. Despite not topping the charts, the track 'Most Girls' received global success and went to #1 in Australia, reaching top 5 spots in the UK and U.S.

With an overall contemporary R&B sound, Pink has since spoken about feeling "stifled" in the production of the album as it didn't ring true to her musical tastes. Subsequently, her follow up albums had much stronger pop-rock roots.

More recently, Pink impressed audiences at this years Oscars with a stunning performance of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' as part of the tribute to 'The Wizard of Oz'.
